Face it Christmas is jolly good fun and here at Maiden we're really getting into the spirit with a wonderful range of Christmas cards, 2012 Calendars , 2012 Diaries and LOADS of amazingly glittery Christmas Decorations!!

In addition to the revamp of their online store, from Thursday 17th-Saturday 19th November renowned festival organisers ATP will be opening their very first pop-up shop in London. ATP will be taking over the basement of Maiden, 188 Shoreditch High Street, London E1 6HU for three days.

Maiden, situated on the south end of Shoreditch High Street, sells a wonderful mixture of products that are fun, colourful, light-hearted and playful. Maiden sells everything, but not anything; wallpaper, wall stickers, ceramics, gifts, books, lighting and toys. Like an Aladdin's cave, Maiden is filled to the rafters with all manner of things: think giant rubber ducks, Chinese waving cats, animal egg cups, David Bowie masks and potato guns. Maiden is a shop full of everything you ever wanted to own, just for the sheer sake of it. As well as the ever changing ranges of product on the ground floor the Maiden also has a basement which has played host to a number of specatularly different temporary events. From fashion, to art, to royal memorabilia, all manner of things have gone on downstairs at Maiden; there was even the World's first X rated cake shop there for four days in 2010 (the vagina cupcakes sold out in under an hour).

The ATP Pop Up Store will be open from 11am-7.30pm on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th November, and from 11am-6.30pm on Saturday 19th November. In store we will be selling:

About ATP

All Tomorrow’s Parties is an organisation based in London that has been promoting festivals, concerts and records throughout the world for over ten years. It was founded by Barry Hogan in 1999 in preparation for the first All Tomorrow’s Parties festival, the line-up of which was curated by Mogwai and took place in the unusual setting of Pontins Holiday Camp, Camber Sands.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Jim Jarmusch, Pavement, The Flaming Lips, The Breeders, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mike Patton & Melvins, My Bloody Valentine, Explosions In The Sky, Pitchfork Media, Portishead, Dirty Three, Sonic Youth, The Shins, Sleater Kinney, Dinosaur Jr., Devendra Banhart, Mudhoney, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Mars Volta, Vincent Gallo, Slint, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Stephen Malkmus, Mogwai, Tortoise, Shellac, Autechre, Modest Mouse, Simpsons’ creator Matt Groening and Animal Collective.

Since then the festival has appeared every year, and continues to set itself apart from festivals like Reading or Glastonbury by staying intimate, non-corporate and fan-friendly. Another vital difference is that the line-ups are chosen by significant bands or artists, resulting in unpredictable and exciting events which combine performances by legendary and influential acts with appearances by the latest crop of experimental artists from any (and every) musical genre. The All Tomorrow’s Parties festival has become more successful with every passing year, moving in 2006 to a larger holiday camp. It has taken place in the UK, USA and Australia, and has been curated by the following artists:

All Tomorrow’s Parties also differentiates itself from other festivals by embracing seemingly disparate artistic genres. Most festival events feature art exhibitions and cinema programmes and others have featured spoken word performances, stand up comedy and book clubs.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN is a month long celebration of horror and classic horror figures in popular culture.

An exciting group of artists, illustrators and graphic designers have been invited by Maiden and East End Prints to re imagine classic horror characters in an innocent and playful way. Artwork featuring well “loved” characters from all of our favourite scary movies will cover the walls of the basement at Shoreditch’s favourite shop Maiden. This really is going to be a frighteningly good show!

Special guests...."People Like Us' present excerpts from their brand new digital collage work 'The Magical Misery Tour'"

Preview Thursday 6th October 6-9pm.
Daily 11-7pm. Show runs til after Halloween.

Dracula - Philip Sheffield
Bunting & Muffett - Anthony Peters
Ghoulies - Jennifer Camilleri
Hannibal - Nicole Thompson

Designer Henrietta Swift has gone "wild" and created some limited edition light switch sticker packs especially for MAIDEN. They will be on sale at MAIDEN from 15 September!

The Shoreditch Design Triangle is one of the many local hubs around London which form part of the London Design Festival 2011 (15-25 September 2011). Over 30 shops, galleries and spaces in Shoreditch are participating in this exciting event which will showcase the strength and diversity of the Shoreditch design community.

On Tuesday 20th September most Shoreditch locations will be staying open late and hosting an array of special launches, parties and workshops. All the
venues are within easy walking distance around the Shoreditch Triangle
so head East and make a night of it.

At MAIDEN we are proud to present a series of six brand new and exclusive light switch stickers designed by Henrietta Swift. We've stocked Henrietta's light switch stickers since MAIDEN opened in 2009; customers have always been delighted by the way such a simple and well executed idea completely brings the ordinarily dull light switch to life.

The Light Up Your Mood stickers are normally available in either Boys, Girls or Animal packs (You can buy them on our online shop or in store at MAIDEN) , but for London Design Week Henrietta has literally gone "wild" and created a special series of endangered species sticker sets. Now you can turn to light switches into a giant panda, a Red Eyed Tree-Frog or even a Siberian Tiger! There is also an African Elephant, a Green Cheeked Parrot and an Amur Leopard! Why not buy the entire series and turn your home into a veritable safari park/paradise!

Each pack will contain the sticker kit to make one of the following animals...
(Each sticker pack will cost £4)

Red Eyed Tree-Frog

Green Cheeked Parrot

Siberian Tiger

Amur Leopard

Giant Panda

African Elephant

Alongside the limited edition endangered species stickers we will also be displaying all of the faces that can be made from the standard sticker packs.
