MR MARIA LIGHTS ON SHOW AT MAIDEN SHOREDITCH
MAIDEN is delighted
to sell the wonderful lights designed by MR MARIA, a Dutch design duo who
began making the fabulous Miffy lights (also featured at MAIDEN) and have now
progressed to other animal lights too! A Polar Bear, An Elephant and a Geisha
light are now on sale at MAIDEN too!
MAIDEN on Shoreditch High Street is currently the only shop in the UK to feature all of these fabulous lights under one roof! The lights can also be ordered online at WWW.MAIDENSHOP.COM
Created in 1955, Miffy's (originally "Nijntje" in Dutch) adventures have
spanned more than 30 books and now Miffy's future is even brighter as
she has been transformed into a charming light! This would make a great
addition in your child's room or a great gift for any grown up Miffy
fanatics.
The first light designed by Mr Maria was actually the giant Miffy light which is 80cm high! A smaller Miffy light (50cm high) followed soon after.
Alongside the Miffy lights there are now three other wonderful lights in the Mr Maria range too!

This fabulous “kokeshi” lamp is based on the distinctive silhouette
of the Japanese Kokeshi doll. In Japan the Kokeshi doll is seen as a
good luck charm and some even think the doll helps to ward off evil
spirits.

Following on from last year's success the Shoreditch Design Triangle (which is now in it's fifth year) will feature events at many of Shoreditch's amazing design led shops, galleries and spaces. The Shoreditch Design Triangle runs from 14th - 22nd September.
